{"id":109,"date":"2011-10-13T12:30:50","date_gmt":"2011-10-13T19:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gahealthguide.wordpress.com\/?p=109"},"modified":"2011-10-13T12:30:50","modified_gmt":"2011-10-13T19:30:50","slug":"myth-for-women-doing-weights-will-bulk-you-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devinephysiques.com\/blog\/2011\/10\/13\/myth-for-women-doing-weights-will-bulk-you-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Myth (For Women): Doing weights will bulk you up!?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ok ladies, I have heard this so many times.\u00a0 &#8220;I don&#8217;t want to bulk up so I don&#8217;t do weights.&#8221;\u00a0 Wrong wrong wrong!\u00a0 Let&#8217;s start by saying that without the proper nutrition to bulk you will not bulk regardless of how much\/how often you are lifting&#8211;\u00a0 Whether or not you gain or lose weight is simple math.\u00a0 My TDEE is 2,283 calories&#8211;\u00a0 The only way that I would &#8220;bulk up&#8221; is if I were eating more calories than that while weight training.<\/p>\n<p>. . .\u00a0 It goes to show, you can&#8217;t accidentally &#8220;bulk up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Anyway.\u00a0 Men bulk a lot easier than women because they naturally have a lot more testosterone.\u00a0 This hormone is essential in muscle building.\u00a0 Therefore, if you, as a woman, want to gain mass amounts of muscle it would probably require some form of steroid, or a ridiculously regimented workout plan that will halt estrogen production long enough for your body to create testosterone.<\/p>\n<p>There are also tricks when lifting that will help you to build long, strong, and lean muscles.\u00a0 Do lower amounts of weights but more reps. . .\u00a0 This helps your muscular endurance so that you stimulate your muscles while burning calories.\u00a0 Full range of motion is important too!\u00a0 (A post on this will come eventually.)<\/p>\n<p>I heard a couple talking in the gym the other day and the lady said she didn&#8217;t ever do weights for her chest because she didn&#8217;t want to lose her breast size.\u00a0 Well, weight lifting won&#8217;t do that.
